Hershel Flashcards
(I have the first line.)
I don’t know ain’t no answer, Ronnie.
But I don’t know, boss.
Do you know someone broke the window to get in here and make this mess. You know that?
Sure, I guess so.
You guess so. And would you guess that this is gonna set our shp back half-a-day at least?
I guess.
So who would you guess would want to do that, Ronnie?
I don’t know.
I know you don’t know! So make a guess! would you guess it’d be somebody who wants to jam me up? Somebody who maybe wants me off this job?! Would that be your guess?!
I guess it would be.
And who’s next in line for my job?
I guess I am.
You GUESS THAT!? No, Ronnie, that’s a certainty! And I know you know that cuz I confided to you just yesterday how the Lieutenant is on my keister on this shop’s productivity reports! And then I come in today and somebody broke in through the window and tore this place to kingdom come! And you expect me to think that someone ain’t you?!
Well, I was in bed early last night on account of my head cold. Plus got a key to the doors, so I wouldn’t need to break no windows.
This was done to throw me off the scent! But it aint working! And I know you sure aint smart enough to concoct this high-level-type scheme. How much is he paying you?
Who?
The Lieutenant!
You know what my salary is, boss.
Sure. Close ranks. You know what side your bread is buttered on, and who’s doing the buttering. Well guess what, Ronnie: you and me aren’t cleaning up. We’re getting to work, because we ain’t falling behind schedule. Then at shifts end, you’ll stay and clean this up, under my supervision, and then I will be getting to the bottom of this nonsense, and if my suspicions are confirmed, I will have cause to can you, and the Lieutenant will have to look for a new lackey’s bread to butter! Start on the transport’s engine.
