What happens when someone with glandular fever takes ampicillin/amoxicillin?
maculopapular, pruritic rash
How is glandular fever diagnosed?
FBC and monospot test - heterophil ab test
What is the management of glandular fever?
supportive - rest, simpel analgesia
avoid playing contact sports for 8 weeks after having it to reduce the risk of splenic rupture
