Powerful - would send a large fleet against Samians, requested earth and water from Greek states
Tactical - Put Mardonius in charge of a whole fleet, but later retracted that

Pious - Persuaded to invade by his dream and the Magi’s interpretation, consulted the Magi on his way to Greece, , blames the river god for the breaking of the bridge
Brutal - Crushed the Egyptian rebels worse than before, kills Pythias’ son for him asking to leave
Easily persuaded - Persuaded by Mardonius to invade Greece, also to retreat
