What did Mendel do?
A
Mendel cross bred pure-breeding (homozygous) individuals for particular traits (i.e flower colour) and observed the traits of the offspring.

What did Mendel observe?
A
Mendel observed that when he cross bred plants with white flowers, all the offspring had red flowers. However, when he cross bred those offspring with each other, the 2nd generation offspring were 75% red and 25% white.

What is Gene Therapy?
A
Gene therapy is the transfusion of a healthy gene into th body of one with a particular disease.

How does gene therapy work?
A
The body of the diseased person absorbs the healthy gene which then presents it as one of its own, thus producing a healthy genetic structure.
