A
Echinacea- immune function
Garlic- decrease BP, plaques, LDL, and triglycerides. DO NOT USE WITH WARFARIN
Ginger- nausea/vomiting
Saw palmetto- decrease BPH
Ginko biloba- memory, increases blood flow
Flaxseed- for constipation, drink plenty of fluids and introduce slowly
Omega 3 fatty acids- decrease elevated triglycerides
St. Johns wart- depression
Cranberry- UTI
Acidophilus- restore normal flora
Black licorice- hesrtburn, stomach ulcers, infections. don’t use w/ HTN and arrhythmias
