Destruction of intrahepatic biliary duct due to chronic inflammation -> cirrhosis

90% of patients are female

Typical presentation: itching middle aged women.

IX: Cholestatic liver panel, AMA positive

MX:
Pruritus:cholestyramine
Fat-soluble vitamin supplementation
Ursodeoxycholic acid
Liver transplantation

Comp: Cirrhosis, HCC

Inflammation and fibrosis of intra and extra hepatic ducts.

75% are men.

A/W: UC, CD, AIH, HIV

Clinical features
Cholestasis: jaundice and pruritus
RUQ pain
Fatigue

IX: Cholestatic LFT, pANCA +ve, ERCP/MRCP

MX: Symptomatic tx, Liver transplant

Comp: Cholangiocarcinoma, CRC
