What is the summary for Hep A?
A
A viral infection caused by hepatitis A virus, transmitted via faecal-oral route, causing fever and jaundice.

How is Hep A transmitted?
A
Faecal-oral route by ingestion of contaminated food and water or by direct contact with an infectious person

What is the difference between Hep A and Hep B?
A
Unlike Hep B, Hep A does NOT cause chronic liver disease and is rarely fatal. However it usually takes weeks to recover.

A

Such as Central America, South America, Africa, Middle East, and some parts of South East Asia.
