A

No. English finances were exhausted and he had to settle for peace in 1514. France continued to pay Henry VII pension, Henry kept conquests and married off his sister to Louis XII - losing important player in marriage market.

France 1513, where he took on logistical and organisatoinal tasks, which many officials didn’t want because of the difficulty.
Wolsey ignored the rights of those in authority to meet the Kings wishes.
Complaints were made against Wolsey, wich only increased his standing with the King as he was seen to be able to carry out wishes and overcome obstacles.

A

This culminated in the Field of Cloth of Gold

prestigious and magnificant meeting held outside Calais, with the aim of reinforcing the Treaty of London
It achieved little, within 2 years, England and France were at war.
Wolsey failed to act as a counterwieght between France and Spain, as they were at war in 1521
