What happened during the Lovell Rebellion?
•April 1486 Lovell and the Stafford’s left sanctuary in order to rebel.
•Their plan was for Lovell to raise troops in Yorkshire while the Stafford’s raised troops in Worcestershire.
•However, when they left sanctuary, Henry’s spies perused them.
•Henry and his force suppressed York.
How was the Lovell Rebellion put down?
•Lovell fled to Margaret of Burgundy in Flanders.
•Stafford brothers went to Worcester but they only gained very few supporters.
•The rebels fled to Culham abbey for sanctuary but were instead put on trial.
•The Stafford brothers were found guilty of treason - Thomas was set free while Humphrey was executed.
•Sir John Coyers was stripped of his stewardship and given a £2000 bond.
•Abbot of Abingdon was given a 3000 mark bond of allegiance.

What happened during the Simnel Rebellion?
•Symonds tried to pass Simnel off as one of the dead princes from the tower.
•Instead, he was passed off as Edward, Earl of Warwick.
•Margaret of Burgundy sent 2000 mercenaries to launch from Ireland.
•The Battle of Stoke broke out.
•John de la Pole was killed on the battle field and Simnel was given work in the royal kitchens.
