Established to deal with wardships of wealthy children after their parents had died.
How successfully did Cromwell did with Wales?
Forced to accept the English law and language but the terrain made it difficult to enforce.
How successful did Cromwell deal with Ireland?
England only controlled the Pale (around Dublin). Anglo-Irish Lords were in charge, but could not always be trusted.
What was a sanctuary?
Avoid arrest if you were inside a church. This was largely abolished by Cromwell.
What were liberties?
Local lords could control the law. This was completely abolished.
How powerful was Henry’s Parliament?
It was largely under the control of Cromwell and passed the laws he wanted regarding religion and the succession.

January 1540. The marriage was not successful as Henry did not like her.

In July 1540 after his marriage to Anne of Cleves had been annulled.
