Henry sent raiding force in 42 to Haddon Rig. They were defeated. Scottish invaded then lost at Solway Moss. 1000 Scots died, James V died of shame. Treaty of Greenwich 1543 Mary Queen of Scots to marry Edward. Scottish said no. Rough wooing commences. Henry unable to secure marriage.

1543 Henry signed an alliance with Charles against Francis and Turks. Siege of Boulogne 1544 cost £586K. Treaty of Crepy between Charles and Francis. Francis attacks England with Navy in 1545. French sank Mary Rose. Scotland got involved somewhere, cost Henry £1.3m.
