Antispasmodic, anticholinergic, diuretic, bronchodilator
Henbane Key Indications
Urinary Spasm, i.e cystitis and incontinence. Whooping cough, ibs, and GIT spasms. Sedative for vertigo & meniere’s disease.
Cautions/Contra’s
Preg/Lac/Chil, can increase the anticholinergic action of other drugs, i.e. antihistamines and cardiac drugs.
Signs of toxicity of henbane?
Feverish, dry mouth, flushing, delerium.

Tropane Alkaloids inc hyoscyamine, atropine and scopolamine.
