Q

What were the results of Gazzanigers visual task

A

Picture presented to left visual field you can’t describe what u saw as no language centre on the right side
Showing they did not recieve the info

Q

Evaluate split brain research

A

+ practical app- helps educators present info in a way that’s creative and requires the right hemisphere
-hemispheric functions overstated- language not restricted to left hemisphere- Turk found patient JW developed capacity to speak in right hemisphere- shows adaption to damage
- doesn’t consider how lateralisation changes with age- szaflarski found language becomes lateralised to the left with age in kids but then decreases as u become older- possibly due to extra processing resourcess
- SPerry and Gazzaniger- small sample- 11- possibly underlying physical disorders- atypical- lacks population validity
