What are the 2 branches of hematopoietic neoplasia? What are the names of the diseases of bm vs. non-bm origin?
A
1) Lymphoproliferative (affects lymphocytes): lymphoma (lymph nodes and extranodal site other than BM) and leukemia (bm origin)
2) Myeloproliferative (affects myeloid cells): myeloid sarcoma (rare! affect tissue sites non-bm); leukemia (bm origin); myelodysplastic syndromes.
