That said, they are perfect for anyone with a 9-5, as they will usually be asleep during the day and prefer being social in the evening. Hedgehogs are also not for families with small children, or for people with sensitive skin.
What does an ideal hedgehog cage look like?
The cage should be as large as possible, with a solid floor lined with paper-based bedding. They should have plenty of stimulation, such as a wheel, ramps, tunnels, or toys. They should also have access to a hiding spot.

Fungus and mites come in combination with dry and flaky skin. Abnormal quill loss occurs in patches, exposing the skin.
