Thermal energy that flows due to a difference in temperature. heat flows hot to cold.

heat transfer due to packets of energy called photons that can travel through many substances, even empty space.

A material through which energy (electrical, thermal or sound) cannot be easily transferred.
conductor
A material through which energy (electrical, thermal or sound) can be easily transferred.
temperature
The measure of the average speed of all particles.
thermal energy
the total energy of all particles in an object.
