Because when they are heated the partials in all of them^^ spread out and when they cool they move back together again

It’s an exception because it expands when frozen but everything else compacts

Metal ball and ring the metal ball gets bigger because of the heat and does not fit in the ring

The one with the hairdryer you get around bottom flask and you put a glass tube into the flask and blow the hairdryer onto the tube

You get around bottom flask and the gas water you put food colouring into the water and heat it up with the Bunsen burner and the Bluewater will rise up into the flask
Experiment to show water expands when frozen
Get a plastic bottle and fill it halfway with water mark where the water was and put it in the freezer then take it out and mark again when it’s frozen
Explain the difference between heat and temperature
Temperature is a measure of how hot something is and heat is a form of energy

Latent heat is the heat taken in or given out when a substance is changing state without changing temperature.

Conduction is the transfer of heat through a solid from particle to particle
