Q

Pathway of the heart channel

A

emerges from the blood vessels surrounding the heart and DESCENDS through the diaphragm to connect with the SMALL INTESTINE. ASCENDS along the esophagus to the tissues surrounding the EYE. Another branch travels to the LUNGS and then emerges at the axilla at HT 1. It travels through the arm/palm to end at HT 9

Q

the heart sinew channel

A

Originates at the radial aspect of the little finger and binds to the pisiform bone
Ascends to bind at the medial aspect of the elbow and then at the axilla
Enters the axilla, intersects the lung sinew channel and travel medially across the breast region to the center of the chest
Descends across the diaphragm to END AT THE UMBILICUS

Q

HT 2 function

A

ACAP

25
Q

HT 3 location

A

Midway between PC3 and the medial epicondyle of the humerus, at the medial end of the transverse cubital crease when the elbow is fully flexed

26
Q

HT 3 function

A

ACAP, calms spirit, transforms phlegm, clears heat

Q

HT 4 location

A

On the radial side of the tendon of flexor carpi ulnaris, 1.5 cun proximal to HT7

28
Q

HT 4 function

Q

HT 5 location

A

On the radial side of the tendon of flexor carpi ulnaris, 1 cun proximal to HT7

30
Q

HT 5 function

A

ACAP, calms spirit, regulates heart rhythm, benefits tongue (loss of voice and tongue stiffness affecting speech)

Q

HT 6 function

A

Regulates heart blood, calms spirit, moderates acute conditions, CLEARS DEFICIENCY HEAT, and alleviates night sweating, speech problems

33
Q

HT 7 location

A

(Caution for the ULNAR ARTERY and nerve)
Location: At the wrist joint on the radial side of flexor carpi ulnaris, in the depression at the proximal border of the pisiform bone

34

Q

HT 8 location

A

On the palm, in the depression between the 4th and 5th metacarpal bones, where the tip of the little finger rests when a fist is made

36
Q

HT 8 function

A

CLEARS HEAT from the small intestine, calms spirit, regulates and calms heart qi

37
Q

HT 9 location

A

On the dorsal aspect of the little finger, at the junction of lines drawn along the radial border of the nail and the base of the nail, approximately 0.1 cun from the corner of the nail

38
Q

HT 9 function
