Heart Flashcards
HT9
Shao Chong - Little/ Lesser Rushing
On the radial side of the little finger, 1 fen proximal and lateral to the corner of the nail
Jing Well Point
Wood Point therefore Tonification Point
Point of exit
Point of Departure of the Heart Tendino Muscular Meridian
Has an influence on the Heart Divergent Meridian
Sends Qi to the Small Intestine Meridian
HT8
Shao Fu - Lesser Mansion
On the palmar surface of the hand, between the fourth and fifth metacarpal bones, on the heart line.
Ying Spring Point
Fire Point therefore Horary Point
Affects the lower Jiao via the Small Intestine.
HT7
Shen Men - Spirit Gate
On the transverse crease of the wrist, in a depression on the radial side of the tendon of muscle flexor carpi ulnaris.
Shu Stream Point
Earth Point therefore Sedation Point
Yuan-Source Point therefore receives a vessel from SI7 Reflex Point.
HT6
Yin Xi - Yin Crevice / Cleft
When the palm faces upwards, the point is on the radial side of the tendon of muscle flexor carpi ulnaris, 0.5 cun proximal to the transverse crease of the wrist.
Xi Cleft Point therefore regulates Qi and Blood in the Heart Meridian
Tonifies Heart Yin.
HT5
Tong Li - Communication with the Interior
When the palm faces upwards, the point is on the radial side of the tendon of muscle flexor carpi ulnaris, 1 cun proximal to the transverse crease of the wrist.
Luo Point therefore sends a vessel to SI-4 (a vessel follows the Heart meridian to the Ht Zang then continues to the root of the tongue and the eye)
Calms the Shen
Regulates Fire Qi.
HT4
Ling Dao - Spirit Path / Way
When the palm faces upwards, the point is on the radial side of the tendon of muscle flexor carpi ulnaris, 1.5 cun proximal to the transverse crease of the wrist.
Jing River Point
Metal Point
HT3
Shao Hai - Little/Lesser Sea
With the elbow flexed, the point is in a depression approximately one third the distance from the medial epicondyle of the humerus to PC3
He Sea Point
Water Point
Increases Yin of the Heart (adds water if to much heat)
HT2
Qing Ling - Blue Green / Cyan Spirit
With the elbow flexed, the point is 3 cun above HT3 on a line between HT3 and HT1 in the groove medial to biceps brachii.
None
HT1
Ji Quan - Highest Spring
With the arm abducted, the point is in the centre of the axilla at the deepest point (on the medial side of the axillary artery)
Point of Entry
Increases Fire in the Spleen (vB)
