Heart Flashcards
Circulations
Pulmonary circulation = small circulation with oxygen poor blood (to lungs)
Systemic circulation = large circulation with oxygen rich blood (to body tissues)
Right atrium
Receives oxygen poor blood from the systemic circulation
- Superior and Inferior vena cava
- Coronary sinus (heart muscle)
Left atrium
Receives oxygen rich blood from the pulmonary circulation
- pulmonary veins
(dextra 2x and sinistra 2x)
Right ventricle
Oxygen poor blood with Pulmonary trunk to lungs
Left ventricle
Oxygen rich blood to body tissues with aorta
Heart wall layers
Endocardium
Myocardium
Epicardium (visceral pericardium)
Pericardium (parietal and fibrous)
Heart valves (connected to annulus fibrosus)
atrioventricular valves
semilunar valves
Right atrioventricular valve
Tricuspid valve
Left atrioventricular valve
