Pinna = its function is to catch and then deflect wave sounds from the surrounding environment into the external ear canal
External ear canal = amplifies sound waves and sends it towards the ear drum

Talk about the function of the cochlea and how that also links to the basilar membrane ?

• Cochlea is where we see the auditory receptor cells
  The basilar membrane which is within the cochlea is goes from a thick to a thin end where it deal with different levels of frequencies . Its thick base deals with high frequencies and the thin apex and the thinner side deals with lower frequencies
