What is the the health and safety act 1974
Sets out guidelines for managing health,safety and the environment in the workplace
Guidelines are in place to create framework for a safe working environment
What is a hazard
Something that could potentially case harm
Eg loose wire
What is a risk
How likely that hazard will cause harm
Eg tripping
What are some client health and wellbeing
Make sure the environment is clean and tidy
Watch out for slipping and tripping hazards
Make sure you clean any spillages
