What is asbestos?

A

Insulating material made up of tiny toxic fibres that can lodge in the lungs and cause serious harm.
Can’t cause harm if left undamaged/disturbed.
Three types in the UK: Brown & Blue were made illegal in 1985 and white in 1999.
It is thought over 4m props contains asbestos and it kills 5000 people a year
It is a criminal offence not to manage.

A

There were many photographs internally due to the marketing of the properties. For retirement living assets the main focus is the surrounding area and its demographics and also the accessibility of the site - car parking, ramps etc.
