What is the difference between direct and indirect discrimination?
Direct- occurs where an employer or organisation treats someone less favourably- words or actions, because of their age, disability, gender, race or sex etc.
Indirect- occurs where a policy of an employer or organisation applies to everyone but results in people with certain protected characteristics being put at a disadvantage.
What refers to the process through which individuals exercise their choice and make decisions about their lives?

What does vulnerable mean?
Exposed to the possibility of being attacked or harmed, either physically or mentally.
What does equal opportunity mean?
All people are afforded equal access to services and have equal rights in society. Ensuring they all have the equal right to develop.
What does disempower mean?
To deny clients the opportunity to take control of their life, to deny choice, to with information so the client is unable to make an informed choice.
Give an example of stereotyping?
That only women should be teachers
What is an attitude?
Socially learned reactions to likes and dislikes of people, objects or situations.
