Reception and administrative responsibilities (e.g. filing). Should not undertake any medical tasks as they are not trained for this.

Preparation of correspondence, etc.
What is the role of a pharmacist? and who are they employed by?
Local pharmacists are sometimes involved with the local GP practice. Health boards employ pharmacists to provide general advice to groups of practices. They are self employed / employed by the local health board.
What is the role of a dietician and who are they employed by?
To teach others about nutrition in order for them to make informed choices about food and lifestyle choices in both health and disease.

What is the role of an occupational therapist? And who are they employed by?
Help people overcome the affects of disability caused by physical or psychological illness, ageing or accident and promote independent function in all aspects of daily life.
They are employed by the Local health board / local authorities / private sector
What is the role of a physiotherapist and who are they employed by?
Concerned with human movement and functional ability. Use a physical approach to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being. Employed by the local health board or the private sector
What is the role of a social worker and who are they employed by?
Work with children and families, offenders, people with learning / physical disabilities, mental health problems, addiction problems and older people to enhance social functioning, give advice and provide practical help.
