Advantages;
It promotes overall wellbeing: as the social model doesn’t just focus on diseases that are present is has the potential to promote the overall health
It promotes good health and assistants in preventing diseases
The responsible for health is shared
Disadvantages:
Not every condition can be prevented (genetic conditions)
It does not address health concerns for individuals
Health promotion messages may be ignored
