A

A safety policy is a written statement of the employers intent to ensure the safety of their employees.
The act requires employers prepare the statement and bring it to the attention of employees together with any subsequent revision.
A company is required to have a written safety policy if it employs five or more employees.
It consists of the Statement of intent, organisation and arrangements.

A

Duties of person in control of premises.
It is the duty of each person (Who has, to any extent, control of premises) to ensure that the premises, all means of access or egress and any plant or substance in the premises provided for use there, is or are safe and without risks to health.

The control of premises may be handed over in contracts to another person who then becomes the duty holder.

Personal liability

Where an offence is committed by the body corporate is shown to have been committed due to the consent, connivance or neglect of a director, manager, secretary or a member of staff acting in a managerial capacity, then he as well ad the body corporate shall be guilty of the offence.
