A
  • I inform my manager prior to any site visits.
  • A ‘Buddy’ system is arranged - a person who will be a point of contact during my visit for arrival and return.
  • All site visits are input to the team calendar outlining when/where I am going and expected return.

A

An examination of what, in your work, could cause harm to people, so that you can weigh up whether you have taken sufficient precautions or should do more to prevent
harm.

It outlines any possible risks and how they can be eliminated to protect people as far as reasonably practicable.

Describe to me the purpose of the health and safety at work act and your responsibility in this regard?

A

The purpose of the act is to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees at work. It is in place to protect the public from risks and establish safety regulations.

It is my responsibility to ensure I take reasonable steps to care for my own health and safety and not put myself at risk by co-operating with employers guidelines and not misuse anything provided for h&s or welfare
