What does LOLER stand for?
Lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations.
Name four things that LOLER requires.
Equipment must be strong and stable for use and marked with a safe working load.
Equipment must be positioned and installed to minimise risks.
Equipment must be used safely with work planned and organised by competent people.
Equipment must be examined and regularly inspected by competent people.
What safety equipment must be worn while involved in slinging.?

What precautions must be taken before entering a confined space?
Space must be ‘cool’.
Space must be force ventilated for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, space must be tested ‘safe’.
A gas free certificate must be issued.
If not tested safe then space must be force ventilated for a further 12 hours and then tested again.
When venting a tank, how long must it be ventilated before a gas free certificate can be issued?
24 hours.
