Transmitted through cuts and grazes, infected from rats urine

Transmitted through cuts and grazes or inhaled urine droplets, when cattle urine in eyes or placental products enter body
Cattle associated leptospirosis
At risk if contaminated with mucus from respiratory tract, inhalation or hand to mouth contact. Must be reported to authority

Bacterial infection carried by pigs, through cuts and grazes

Causes face, hand, arm ulcers if contact lesions. No treatment needed

Dangerous for pregnant women. Passed on via infected afterbirth contact

Carried by ducks and poultry. Transmitted by inhaling dust from dung or from nasal discharge

Produces flu like fever after contact with sheep, transmitted by inhaling dust contaminated with birth products, faeces or urine

Agent can survive months of years in spore like form

Causes crusty skin lesions on head hands arms and neck

Spores enter skin through cuts and abrasions. Spores transmitted through handling infected livestock
