pain in temporal arteries, hurts to comb hair
temporal arteries are hard, pulseless and tender
jaw claudication
amaurosis fugax can occur

giant cell arteritis
raised ESR - temporal biopsy to confirm
Prednisolone required to prevent blindness
chick having 15+ headaches a month, for over three months now.
pops paracetamol for all of these
likely diagnosis?
chronic daily headache
-> medication overuse headache
chap gets stabbing pain on head in a specific part
primary stabbing headache
gent gets headache when he coughs
primary cough headache
however beware the chance of raised ICP - CT head
60-70 y/o
gets knife/electric shock like pain unilaterally in 1/3 of face
happens when washing/shaving/cold wind
trigeminal neuralgia
dilated vessels near pons pushing on nerve
carbamazepine
headache on waking, worse when coughing/straining
raised ICP - ?idiopathic intracranial hypertension
headache which is worse standing up, better lying down.
had an LP yesterday. and today
low CSF can cause headache
