How does the poets language convey the mood of the persona in the first stanza? (4)

Duffy uses imagery and alliteration. Imagery-‘ i’ve got dark green…I could strangle with’ ~ green-envy ~ pebbles- stale and cold, so is her soul after her husband left her ~ ropes- she could strangle him with her own hands. Displays her hatred.
Alliteration- ‘ beloved sweetheart bastard’ ~ contrast, shows she once loved him but now hates him.
