Consecutive 3rds and 6ths
notes played with 3rd or 6th intervals.
Thirds change tonality, this makes sure the crucial note is never missed
Extended chords
often dissonant chords, 7ths, 9ths, 11ths
Ostinato
a repeated musical pattern can be rhythmic or melodic
cluster chords
many neighboring notes
constant harmony
pleasant intervals, 8ths, 5ths, 3rds, 6ths
Dissonance/chromatic harmony
uses chords or notes that create tension, 2nds, 7ths.
