A

A mathematical equation that can be used to calculate the frequencies of alleles of a particular gene in a population

What are the assumptions?

A

They assume that the proportion of dominant and recessive alleles remains constant from each generation.
This is the case if:
- No mutations arise
- The population is isolated and no flow of alleles out of the population
- No selection
- Very large
- Random mating
