What are Exabytes?
Exabytes are used for identifying the size storage units and is the equivalent to 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes.
What are Gigabytes?
Gigabytes measure the memory of storage/ capacity. 1 GB is equivalent to 1,000 megabytes or 1,000,000,000 bytes
What are Gigahertz?
Gigahertz are used to rate the frequency/ speed of a microprocessor. 1 GHz is equal to 1,000 megahertz or 1,000,000,000 Hz.
What does Bit mean?
Bit is the smallest unit of measurement used to quantify computer data.
What does Accumulator mean?
An accumulator stores information acquired from the arithmetic logic unit.
What is ALU and what does it mean?
ALU stands for Arithmetic Logic Unit and that is the process that performs arithmetic and logical operations.
What is a Capacitor?
A capacitor is a component that stores electrical charge.
What is MDR and what does it mean?
MDR stands for Memory Data Register and it holds data that is being transferred to and from memory.
What is MAR and what does it mean?
MAR stands for Memory Address Register and it stores and updates memory address space.
What is a Polarizer?
A polarizer is a type of filter that allows certain polarized light waves to pass through and can block other types of polarized light.
What is RTC and what does it mean?
RTC stands for Real-Time Clock and it is a integrated circuit that is used in most electronic devices to keep track of time.
What is a Spindle?
A spindle is a mechanism that holds the platters of an HDD in place.
