Story of the prodigal son
The father has two sons. The younger son asks for his portion of inheritance, but becomes prodigal (wasteful and extravagant). Consequently, he must come back to father to accept him back as a servant, and his father welcomes him back with a celebration and a party. The older son refuses to participate and is envious. The father says that the older son was always with him and all that he has is his, but the younger son was lost and is now found.
