Q

Explain the 6 stages causing the Haiti earthquake

A
  1. The North American plate & Caribbean plate slide past each other in opposite directions at a Conservative plate boundary
  2. This time, the plates got stuck
  3. This caused the Earth’s crust to bend
  4. This built up friction putting pressure on the crust
  5. The pressure was released, snapping the crust back into place
  6. This sudden movement created seismic waves across Earth
  7. The seismic waves resulted in the earthquake
