semipermanent haircolor
no-lift, deposit only, non-oxidant haircolor that is not mixed with peroxide and is formulated to last through several shampoos, depending on the hair porosity
last 4-6 weeks (frequent shampooed)
a patch test 24 to 48 hrs
demipermanent haircolor
no-lift , deposit only , is fromulated to deposit but not lighten color.

common way to describe a haircolor service that adds shine and color to the hair
permanent haircolor
lighten and deposit color at the same time and in a single process because they are more alkaline than demipermanent color and are usulally mixed with a higher-volume developer
on-the-scalp lightbers
lighteners that can be use directly on the scalp by mixing the lightener with activators
oil lighteners
mildest type, appropriate when only one or two level of lift is desire
cream lighteners
strong enough for high-lift blonding, but gentle enough to be used on the scalp
activators
boosters, protinators or accelerators, are powdered persulfate salts added to haircolor to increase it lightening ability
(more activator use the lighter the hair will be)
