Process of forming clots in walls of damaged blood vessels and preventing blood loss while maintaining blood in fluid state within the vascular system .

Vasoconstriction by vasoconstrictor substances serotonin , thromboxane

A
Due to blood vessel injury ( whn exposed to collagen, vWF) - platelet adhesion - platelet activation - platelet aggregation
Formation of platelet plug - minimized bleeding or stops bleeding
