Teachings:
‘Religion is sincerity.’ We said: ‘To whom?’ The Prophet said: ‘To Allah, his Book, his Messenger, the leaders of the Muslims and to their common people.’
Focuses on being sincere to Islam and its teachings by:
1) Having strong faith in Allah’s oneness and supremacy
2) Believing in finality of the prophet and following his sunnah
3) Reciting the Quran and abiding by it’s teachings unconditionally, and following the pillars of islam
4) Should be sensitive to conditions of, and be ready to help the members of the muslim community
5) Be obedient to the leader of the muslims as long as he abide by islamic principles
Actions

1) Only turning to Allah for help
2) Following Quranic teachings and preferring Islamic values over others
3) Staying sincere to prophet (s) by following his sunnah and showing his true image to this Islamophobic world
4) Obeying the leader and cooperating to let them create a truly Islamic and egalitarian society
5) Help the community by: Enlightening it if you are edu., helping the weak financially, playing your part e.g. your profession properly
Teachings
None of you believes until he wants for his brother what he wants for himself.
This hadith shows how important social justice and egalitarianism is to islam.
It says that the faith of a muslim is true only when it creates a care and desire for others’ well being in a person.
Actions
None of you believes until he wants for his brother what he wants for himself.
1) muslims should try to look beyond themselves and aim for the greater good of all of humanity, so that they could become selfless
2) should try to develop empathy and sensitivity to the needs of others
3) Should celebrate in others happiness and try to comfort those in pain
4) Should try to give genuine advice and try to make society equitable by being regular in paying zakat, charity and other taxes
A man asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and give him peace): Do you think that if I perform the obligatory prayers, fast in Ramadan, treat as lawful that which is lawful and treat as forbidden that which is forbidden, and do nothing further, I shall enter paradise? He said: Yes.
Islam has straight forward rules and obligations
1) OBLIGATIONS: Prayer, fasting, zakat,hajj and belief in shahadah and the six articles of faith are clearly laid out.
following these gains allah’s pleasure and the reward of paradise on the day of judgement.
2) UNLAWFUL: clearly laid out, no ambiguity so if these are followed saved from fire of hell.

A man asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and give him peace): Do you think that if I perform the obligatory prayers, fast in Ramadan, treat as lawful that which is lawful and treat as forbidden that which is forbidden, and do nothing further, I shall enter paradise? He said: Yes.
by following the basic obligations properly:
Those that are able to should give zakat and perform hajj
Need to understand and believe in tawhid
Perform 5 prayers regularly
Fast in ramadan
No matter if socially acceptable keep away from alcohol, pork and other unlawful things e.g. lying.
tEAchings
Every person’s every joint must perform a charity every day the sun comes up: to act justly between two people is a charity; to help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoisting up his belongings onto it is a charity; a good word is a charity; every step you take to prayers is a charity; and removing a harmful thing from the road is a charity
CHARITY:
1) Not something only the rich can engage in because it is not limited to being financial
2) It includes all the simple good deeds that are done by a person; that only require some sensitivity to the needs of others and an intention to be of help
3) Charity in this broader sense should be performed everyday by a muslim and it gains allahs pleasure
Actions

3) Lending help in physical work to someone frail
4) Giving water to a tired labourer
5) Comforting someone physically frail
