Q

Explain how temp & pressure shift the equilibrium

A

If you raise the temperature the endothermic reaction will increase to use up the heat. If you reduce the temp the exothermic reaction will increase to give out more heat
Raising the pressure encourages the reaction due to the particles having less space

Q

Describe the conditions used in industry for the Haber Process

A

200 atms pressure this favours the forward reaction but reduces cost in equipment.
450’C temperature this maintains the forward reaction but offers a moderate % yield
