Q

An enzyme, that produce ammonia and has major role in pathogenesis, mention it and it’s tests?

A

UREASE, which use urea + h2o?+ O2 to produce Co2& amonia & hco3 to neurilize the acidic environment at stomach
Can be detected at 2 tests,
1. UREASE + (biochemical test)
2. Using rapid test ( breath test after ingesting urea by measuring the co2 level)
