Q

How do I test CN 5?

A

Clench teeth (masseter + temporal)
Lateral jaw movement (pterygoids)

Sharp and light touch on forehead, cheek, and jaw.

17
Q

What is the corneal reflex?

A

Have pt look up and away, touch lateral side of cornea with a wisp. Should cause blinking.

CN 5 and 7 work together.

18
Q

how do I test CN 7

A

make all the facial expressions and also puff cheeks and hold against resistsance

19
Q

How do I test CN 11?

A

Shoulder shrug (traps)
Head rotation vs resistance (SCM)
