A
- Ask about duration of menstruation
- Ask about the frequency of menstruation
- Ask about the volume of menstruation
- Ask about dysmenorrhea
- Ask the patient when the first day of their last menstrual period was
- Ask the patient how old they were when they started having periods and when they went through menopause

A
- clarify the type of contraception currently used
- Explore the patient’s previous contraception history
