Stabbing pain
LIF / RIF
History of cysts
Cannot normally be seen on scan
Acute rise in lactate
Increasing pain relief required

A

Laparoscopic surgery

  • consider removal of cyst
  • consider removal of ovary if looks dead

A

Bloods - hb, clotting, group&save

Tranexamic acid (antifibrinolytic)
Norethisterone (synthetic progesterone)

disproportionate pain felt
peritoneum moved
same principle as rebound tenderness
