What’s the most players can score in one act of shooting?
Players can score a maximum of 4 points. A player could sink a 3 point shot, get fouled and make a free through.
What are Violations?
They result in a loss of possession of the basketball, not foul shots
Shot clock violation
Ball must be released from the players hand within 24 seconds of going possession of the ball. The shot must hit the rim for a shot clock reset
8 second violation
Once the team has possession of the ball in their own end, they have 8 seconds to bring the ball over the centre line
Over and back
Once the ball has been brought over the centre line l, it cannot be moved back behind the line
3 point system
3 second rule
Offensive players cannot be in the key for more than 3 seconds while ball is in play
Out of bounds
-Person or ball going outside or touching the sideline or baseline
-While throwing the ball in, stepping into the playing area
Foot ball
A ball that is deliberately contacted below the knee
Lane violation
-5 players on the free throw cannot enter the key before a foul shot is released
