9
Q

give the general chain of events when ligand binds GPCR in type II cell

A

G-alpha dissociates from GDP and binds GTP
this causes it to dissociate from B/y to form 2 subunits
GB/y subunit activates phospholipase C
which activates IP3
IP3 binds IP3
