Why did they supposedly do it
To gain catholic rule in England
Why might it not be their fault
Because they wouldn’t be able to get to the cellar under the throne nor get gunpowder there
Why is sir Robert Cecil blamed today by historians
Bea cause he had control of gunpowder and why would he give it to well known catholics
He had control of the cellar
Why might Guy Fawkes be innocent
He said the last thing he remembered was drinking at a bar then king up there
He only said yes after hours of torture
Why was Robert Cecil even more suspicious after
Because his accomplice died before his court case mysteriously and his accomplice might have knew what was going on

Why did Robert do it
Because he was a strict Protestant and wanted the King to think badly of catholics
Why might’ve the letter sent to parliament have been Cecil not a member of the plotters
Because the writing matched his not any of the plotters
What was the cover up story
That the group rented the cellar and snuck some gunpowder in every night until the day
Why else is weird that the got away with sneaking in gunpowder
No one checked the cellar for over 2 weeks
Only a person with authority could tell people not to go in
