Role of transparency
what, reasoning, scope
- the process and work must be visible to those doing the work, as well as to those receiving the work;
- important decisions are based on the perceived state of the artifacts; low artifacts transparency can lead to decisions that diminish value and increase risk.
Role of inspection
what, how often, through what means, to what end
- inspect frequently and diligently the Scrum artifacts and the process to detect undesirable variances or problems, through the Scrum events (they should provoke change) to enable adaptation.
Role of adaptation
what involves, requirements, when
- to adjust when aspects of the process deviate outside acceptable limits or the product is unacceptable;
- requirements: empowered and self-managing people;
- adjustment must be made as soon as possible when something is learned through inspection to minimize further deviation.
