guest lecture Flashcards
what is DDDM
provides a framework for reasoning through the occupational therapy process with a focus on utilization of data to guide and measure outcomes
what does DDDM involve
Collecting outcomes data and tracking it over time
what is DDDM used for
Demonstrating intervention effectiveness
what are the steps for DDDM
6 steps
1.Define the concern
2. Select measurement
strategy
3. Determine the current level of performance (Baseline)
4. Set the goal
5. Develop a chart
6. Develop a decision-making plan for use during service provision
How should the concern be defined
Alterable: performance can be changed
Specific: When and how long concern occurs
Observable: Performance can be seen
Measurable: Can be measured by various strategies such as counting or timing
what are the measurement strategies
Duration (length of time
Frequency (increase or decrease performance)
Accuracy (does not happen correctly
